Moving house is better than training

I am destroyed. Never ever, ever, move from a big detached house to a big town house, with more flights of stairs than I care to count! Training for Para’s 10 typcially involved running around carrying a big ruck sack, but I am happy to report that simply moving ones life to a tall building is 10 times the training! I will NOT be doing that again any time soon.

Early Morning Sunday Run
scousesheriff on August 21, 2011 in Training
Every time someone asks me to do an early morning Sunday run with them, I find myself instantly forgetting that I don’t really like getting up on a Sunday morning to go running around the hills (well, mounds in Norwich) with a ruck-sack on my back. So yet again, this morning I was rudely awoken by my 6.45am alarm clock, fell out of bed, splashed some water on my face, inhaled some food, stuck on my boots, picked up the ruck sack and headed out for an hour of “fun”. Not a bad time, and did finish the last mile in under 8 minutes, so all in all happy that I did it, and it leaves me with just 1,973km to go to complete my 2012 challege. Something tells me, I need to get out more

Low and behold, a nice facelift done. Looking much better so far. This should keep us going for at least a few weeks until I get bored of it. Many thanks to IvyStudio

Para’s 10 in 24 Days
scousesheriff on August 18, 2011 in Training
I did a nice 9 mile training run yesterday with a few of the guys over at Pellcomp Software, for the up coming Para’s10 P Company Challenge. In a nutshell, the P-Company Challenge involves running 10 miles over a crazily undulating bit of Catterick Garrison carrying a 35lb ruck-sack.
My target time for the actual event was (before the run yesterday) 1hour 40mins, and I am happy to report, I am STILL on target for this, phew! Only 24 Days to go now though, so just a final little push. Just wish I didn’t ache so much this morning!

Phoenix from the flames
scousesheriff on August 17, 2011 in Updates
Like a Phoenix from the flames, ElectronicSquare has returned. No longer will these hallowed web pages display long dead articles for the wonderful students of UEA, but instead the long overdue ramblings of a group of those wonderful alumni who’ve moved on to bigger, if not always better, things in life.
Quite a few things that we’ll be getting up to over the next few weeks, starting with giving this place a lick of paint to stop it looking like my granddad’s first blog. After that, we’ll be dragging a few other articles back from the beyond in a attempt to figure out where plans all changed and life got in the way of us changing the world.
Until next time. ScouseSheriff
