Open 24/ 7 and equipped with twelve family size washing machines and ten dryers you will have to make at least one trip a month here. The machines are usually reliable although the dryers are not always on top form.
Thursday nights seemed really busy last year and while we could not quite realise the prospect of a gang load of our friends watching us from the comfort of the bar struggle home with a heavy bag of laundry it obviously did others. Other days during the evening are good as it’s usually quiet. we recommend buying your own washing powder, a big family size package from one of the supermarkets should last you quite a while. Their was scandal / amusement last year over allegations of a midnight club we came in at the afore mentioned hour to ride the machines. All attempts to trace the club ended in failure. taking plenty of change with you one pound coins and twenty pence pieces as the nearest change machine is in union house. Wash light and dark colours separately placing delicates in a bag to stop them spilling all over the floor when you open the dryers. Finally when you leave your washing to go check your email or pop over to the bar for a quick one keep an eye on the time as others need the machines too. Gripe over.
